About the course
The three-day First Aid at Work training course covers all of the elements required by delegates in order to become a competent first aider in the workplace. The course is designed to meet the moral and legal requirements to comply with the HSE’s guidance and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.
Accreditation & Certification
All of our First Aid at Work training courses are delivered by approved trainers, and we are able to offer accredited courses on request. All course trainers are registered to deliver these courses and have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the delivery of first aid training courses.
Upon completion of the course, a certificate is awarded to all successful delegates, and this certificate is valid for three years from the date of completion of the course.
Who is the course aimed at?
The First Aid at Work course is aimed at individuals that require our most advanced level of first aid training. The HSE recommends that, where any individuals are working in a low-hazard environment, one member of staff is trained to this level of first aid for every 100 staff, and where individuals working in higher-hazard environments, at least one in 50 staff is trained to this level of first aid training. This is a minimum recommended requirement and we always suggest that you have more than the minimum number of people trained within your organisation.
The number of staff that are required by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations in higher-risk organisations is dependent on the level of hazard within your specific work environment: the higher the risk of accident, the higher the number of staff that should be trained.
